Riley and I go back to the very beginning. We cut our teeth together in Herman Story & Desparada Cellars, two green horns learning the ropes of small-business wine while dreaming about the day we’d have our own labels. That was a long time ago now, and we both got there.

These days we’re part of a small tribe of winemakers who look out for each other. If someone’s equipment goes down, you start making calls. Riley is always my first call, and I’m one of hers. We trade advice, gear, even our fabricator. Now we get to share wine clubs too. So for the month of August, I want to open that friendship up to you.
